Two Men Formally Indicted for Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins

Two individuals now face murder charges after the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and found guilty of child sex crimes Ian Watkins.

Samuel Dodsworth, 43, and Rashid Gedel, 25 now face murder accusations and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, per police authorities.

Watkins, forty-eight, was serving a 29-year sentence at HMP Wakefield, alongside six more years under supervision, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the tried rape of a very young child.

Watkins was taken into custody following a narcotics search warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
