The former president's Family Member Seeks Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Prior to Professional Golf Debut

Emerging athlete getting ready for major tournament

The rising star boasts considerable online presence

Kai Trump will have numerous prominent backers when she makes her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, obtained a special exemption to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, an avid golfer, possesses several courses worldwide and frequently competes against Kai.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we play some close matches," she revealed.

The golfer shared that Trump, who won't be present, advised her: "Just stay calm."

"He basically advised me to go out there and enjoy myself," she added.

"To me, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, making him somewhat preoccupied."

While still amateur, Kai has played in a mere three competitions recently and has the 461st position in AJGA standings.

Yet she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He is the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.

"And he's an even better human being. He suggested me to go out there, have fun, adapting to whatever happens."

Kai will face several the biggest names in professional golf at the competition, including world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Officials commented that her participation brings the sport to new audiences, especially with younger fans.

The young star has substantial online presence and recently launched a personal fashion and living label.

She begins at 5:30 PM GMT.
