The children's author David Walliams parted ways with longtime publisher.
Acclaimed writer for children and TV personality David Walliams has been dropped by his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
An official for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was reached following an review of reports of questionable actions involving women.
The company has not elaborated on the specific rationale behind the move, noting: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."
A Highly Successful Publishing History
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies worldwide in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his titles, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
His bibliography includes over four dozen titles in total, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO last fall.
