Skydance Paramount Plans to Remove Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News

Paramount Skydance will start large-scale job cuts during the week starting 27 October, cutting about 2,000 US jobs within a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn under new chief executive David Ellison.

The workforce reduction are a result of the merger of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed this past August worth $8.4bn.

Further international job cuts are expected, as the firm aiming to reveal all specifics in its Q3 financial results set for the 10th of November.

Previous updates suggested that Paramount was looking to cut between 2,000 and 3,000 roles by early November.

As of December 2024, the company employed nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts and 3,500 contract workers.

The organization has not yet commented on the matter.
